Most games put the emphasis on the visual experience, on providing you with top notch graphics that will blow you away. While that is a good approach that combined with entertaining gameplay can ensure the app will be a success, developer Something' Else decided to take another route with the Papa Sangre app. The developer came up with a thrilling and sometimes frightening app that puts the emphasis on sound, not on the visual.

The premise behind the game is that you are in Papa Sangre’s palace, which is a dark land of the dead. In this place there is darkness all around you; you can’t see anything, but you can hear – and what you year will sometimes send shivers down your spine. If you’re frightful in nature, it would be best not to play this game with the lights out, while you’re all alone in the house. But I digress.

As I was saying, you are lost in a dark land of the dead, a.k.a. Papa Sangre’s palace. What you have to do is get out of the creepy land of the dead, and save the one you love. I won’t give anything away because I’m afraid I might spoil the fun. What I will say is that this is game is astonishing. It uses sound to immerse you into Papa Sangre’s land of the dead. With the earphones on, it seems like you’re there, exploring a strange land while being robbed of your most precious sense – eyesight. It can be scary at times, I will admit to that, but it is an awesome and thrilling experience overall.
